川崎ｊの第二次産業
京浜工業地帯の中にあり、
明治時代の産業革命以降は重工業が発展した。
特に昭和前期に臨海部での大規模な埋め立てが行われ、
製鉄所や化学工場、機械・電機工業などの建設が進んだ。
日本鋼管（現JFEスチール）、富士通、日本電気、
東芝などの大規模工場と、
それに関連する中小工場が多数建設され、
現在に至っている。
近年では、先端技術の研究所なども多く立地する。
かわさきマイコンシティ、
かながわサイエンスパークの建設なども
これを促進している。
一方、臨海部の工業地帯では
重化学工業不振からの再生が企画される一方、
産業遺産としての保護も進められている。
また、市では羽田空港の神奈川口整備を見越して、
臨空型の工業整備を意図している。
川崎も昔と比べると随分変わったよねぇ。
私の研鑽生活は今日も続きます。
