川崎の現代 その１
●1946年（昭和21年） - 初の民選市長として金刺不二太郎が当選。
●1947年（昭和22年） - 戦後第1回市議会招集。
●1948年（昭和23年） - 現多摩区に日本女子大付属中学・高校が開設
（現在の日本女子大学西生田キャンパス）。
●1951年（昭和26年） - 現多摩区に明治大学生田校舎が開設。
●1952年（昭和27年） - 現川崎区の富士見公園内に川崎球場
（当時は川崎スタヂアム）が開場。
●1952年（昭和27年） - 向ヶ丘遊園が遊具施設を充実し有料化。
●1957年（昭和32年） - 現多摩区に専修大学生田校舎開設。
●1957年（昭和32年） - 人口が50万人を突破。
この頃から市北西部が首都圏住民の良好な住宅地として
人気を博すようになり、
政令市に指定されるまでに人口が急増する主因となった。
この為、首都圏へ向かう通勤・通学電車のラッシュは、
全国有数の混雑となる。
●1960年（昭和35年） - プロ野球・大洋ホエールズが日本シリーズで優勝し、
市内でパレードを行う。
●1964年（昭和39年） - よみうりランドが開業する。
西生田駅が読売ランド前駅に、東生田駅が生田駅に改称。
●1966年（昭和41年） - 東急田園都市線溝の口駅 - 長津田駅が開業。
●1967年（昭和42年） - 現多摩区に日本民家園が開園。
公営施設としては北部地域初の大規模文化施設。
●1967年（昭和42年） - 現麻生区東百合丘に調布学園女子短期大学が開設。
●1968年（昭和43年）4月25日 - 東名高速道路が開通し、
東名川崎IC（現宮前区）開設。
●1968年（昭和43年） - 市営鷺沼プールがオープン。
●1969年（昭和44年）4月1日 - 市電が全廃。
子供の頃はよく向ヶ丘遊園やよみうりランドで遊んだなぁ。
私の研鑽生活は今日も続きます。
